Born in Jersey City, New Jersey to parents that met while performing in Off-Broadway productions, lila Williams began performing at the very early age of three when she would steal into the adult church service and run to the pulpit to belt out some of her favorite hymns and songs, (much to the stern Reverend’s disapproval). When lila was given a guitar at age 5 she began to experience the joy of music and performance that propelled her into making music her profession either on a full time or part time basis for the next 35 plus years.
lila has had the privilege of performing on many stages including the Kennedy Center for the Arts, the Gaia Theater in Berkeley, CA , the Lone Star Café, (the one that was in NYC), and many restaurants and clubs in the New York, Dallas and Bay areas. Additionally lila has had her own voice and guitar studio and has also taught guitar for the non-profit Guitars Not Guns which offers classes and guitars at no cost for children at risk. Based on this fulfilling, one-of-a-kind experience she is happy to be currently carrying the GnG message to Texas.
